Celebrate the 4th of July circa 1876 at Mystic Seaport. An exciting day begins with boat races on the river, military exercises from the "boys in blue" and an old-fashioned spelling bee. At noon, picnic alongside your neighbors on the Village Green and cheer for your favorite display in the Independence Day Parade beginning at 1pm. Following the parade enjoy lawn games on the Village Green and theatrical performances by the Mystic Seaport Tale-Makers. Truly the most classic way to celebrate America's birthday.
