Sail away to the magical world of Eastern Connecticut Ballet’s The Nutcracker. Featuring stars from New York City Ballet and Miami City Ballet, and a stage transformed to a New London winter seaport in the 1850’s

Eastern Connecticut Ballet (ECB) has recreated its perennial “Nutcracker” ballet with spectacular new scenery, additional special effects, and a setting that celebrates southeastern Connecticut’s seafaring past. Featuring sights such as tall ships in port, a sea captain’s Victorian home, lighthouses and other well-known landmarks, the Garde’s stage will be transformed into a wintry day in New London during the 1850s. Special effects include a flying Christmas tree, a clock that looks like an owl, and other wizards, as well as a full-blown snowstorm onstage.
