We Let the Dogs Out is a professional pet care company offering dog walking, pet sitting, cat care and overnight care, as well as, out and about dog adventures (hiking, beach, dog park). They provide quality, loving pet care and are currently helping to tails wag and cats purr along the Connecticut shoreline in the towns of East Haven, North Haven, Branford, Guilford, Madison, Killingworth, Clinton, Westbrook, Old Saybrook, Essex, Ivoryton, East Lyme, Waterford, Mystic, Stonington and Pawcatuck.

Owner Rachel Eaton took over We Let the Dogs Out after finding them when she was having a hard time finding someone reliable to care for her dogs while she was away on business trips. She jumped at the chance to transform an established business into what We Let the Dogs Out is today. Beginning in Guilford, they now love on pets all along the Shoreline, and have grown from 2 part time staff to 20 employees and growing; all in just four years!

We Let The Dogs Out caters to each pet’s and owner’s needs - and are truly invested in understanding your animal’s personal routine and your needs. They begin all services with a free in-home consultation to meet you and your pets, allowing your pet to get acquainted with them, while finding out exactly how to create the best experience for you and your pet. They are fully insured with a well-known CT insurer, hire from within your community, have local supervision, and all visits are conducted through GPS, so no pet gets left behind and owners can have peace of mind!

They’re available while you're away, sick, or just need help burning off that puppy or kitten energy on a regular basis, rain or shine. People get busy and they get that.

Dog Walking

Let your dog have a potty break, fresh air and exercise while you are at work or going about your busy day. Your dog will have a walk and/or playtime and be showered with love at each visit. Fresh water and a treat will be given after playtime is over.

Your dog will never be grouped with other dogs.

Pet Sitting

In-home visits ensure that your pet is well cared for in the comfort of their own home which reduces stress for both you and your pet.

They will tailor their visits to meet your pet’s specific needs but typically include:

Feeding and fresh water at each visit
Lots of love and affection
Administer medication or any other special needs your pet may have

Cat Care

Don’t leave your cat to fend for himself, let We Let The Dogs Out provide an in-home visit to make sure that he is happy and comfortable.

All visits are tailored to your cat’s specific needs but typically include:

Fresh food and water at each visit
Changing and scooping out the litter box
Love and affection
Medication or any other special attention that your cat requires

Bed & Biscuit Overnight Pet Care

The B&B Overnight Pet Care provides you and your pet the peace of mind knowing someone is home with your pet when you are not, in a comfortable environment they know. Service includes a 13-hour increment of your choice between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Breakfast visit and dinnertime visit are included in this service. You may choose to include additional visits to fit your pets’ schedule, per the fee schedule for a pet sit.

Out & About Pet Adventures

Pet Adventures takes your dog(s) for a hike, to the dog beach/dog park, for a run or to one of our houses – up to 4 hours from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
