The Country School Summer Program
Tiny Scientists
This camp offers young children the most engaging aspects of science by understanding information through arts and crafts, experiments, and outdoor activities. Students will participate in five unique theme-based days: outer space, life under the sea, life on land, basic chemistry, and nature/pollution.
Young scientists should prepare for a week of laughing, learning, and exploring in an entirely hands-on and minds-on way: hunting for dinosaur eggs, making elephant’s toothpaste, constructing ocean zones in a jar, and even defying the properties of liquids by creating Dr. Seuss’s infamous non-Newtonian oobleck.
Our mission is to bring out the inner scientist in every child, and for students to go home each day ecstatic and curious about the day to come. Join us to discover how much fun science truly is!

Digital Photography
Let your child show you what the world looks like through his/her eyes!
Each day will begin with a focused lesson such as lighting, subject matter, and editing. Together we will travel around campus, explore the Blue Trail, and visit the Surf Club, snapping photos along the way and practicing the daily lessons.
Students will download their daily photos, decide which to delete, and then – as visual artists – edit the keepers for optimal effect. The week will culminate in a group presentation, showcasing the students’ best photographs.
It doesn't matter what camera your child uses. Seeing and thinking like a pro is the best place to start! However, students must bring a digital camera or iphone to camp each day.
Ages: 5th-8th grade
Available Dates: June 17 - 21
Available Times: 9am - 12pm
Tiny Chefs
Cooking teaches children many important skills that will be carried with them throughout their lives; they practice basic math when measuring ingredients, learn to carefully follow instructions, explore different cultures, and work well in teams.
We want our campers to go home at the end of the day feeling proud of their work. Students will participate in five unique theme-based days centered around different cultures and meals. Together, we will be exploring what food looks like around the world, learning about the food pyramid, and creating dishes that look almost as amazing as they taste!
Ages: 5-7

Featuring elite coaches, individualized instruction and scenic runs that often end with a swim, you’ll walk away—no, you’ll run away!—with an unforgettable experience and fine-tuned skills, hungry for the fall season to start. Our hands-on approach and expertise make this camp unique, whether you are a good runner trying to become great or a novice runner just learning the sport. Our coaches possess deep skills, both in the sport of running and as educators working with children. Your child will leave our camp at the end of the week or end of the summer a better athlete and a more confident student. We teach the campers about running, discipline, and motivation.
