4th of July Celebrations on the Connecticut Shoreline (2018)

There is nothing better than the 4th of July in New England. We want to make sure you're enjoying every part of the Shoreline that makes this the perfect place to celebrate America's big day. So grab your beach chair, enjoy the towns that line the Connecticut coast, and make sure + stay up late for some of the best firework shows in CT! 

 

July 3

 

Madison, CT
Independence Day Fireworks at 9:30pm
The fireworks are visible from many waterfront areas in Madison. The main public viewing locations are from Surf Club Park, East Wharf Beach and West Wharf Beach. Parking will be very limited at parks and beaches, on public streets, and in all waterfront viewing areas. Make sure and obey all Madison Police Department signs and instructions for parking. Ivoryton Village 4th of July Parade
The Ivoryton Village 4th of July Parade kicks off at 10am on Wednesday, July 4th with an Independence Day ceremony on the Ivoryton Green at 11am. Come join the festivities. For more information visit the Chamber of Commerce page here.

Madison Exchange Independence Day Parade
Sponsored by the Exchange Club of Madison, the parade begins at 11am on Boston Post Road and travels from Samson Rock Drive to West Wharf Road, ending at The Surf Club. For more information visit the Madison Exchange Club site here!

Independence Day Celebration
Celebrate the 4th of July circa 1876 at the Mystic Seaport. Enjoy an exciting day of traditional celebrations including boat races on the river, military exercises from the "boys in blue", an old-fashioned spelling bee, and picnic on the Village Green. Guilford, CT
Guilford Community Picnic and Fireworks
Festivities begin on the historic Town Green for the community picnic from 4-7pm with a performance from the 100-piece town band from 5-7. There will also be food vendors, inflatables, and activities for kids to enjoy. At 7pm, the party moves to the Guilford Fairgrounds for more live music and fireworks starting at 9:15pm.
